Get Stuff

Around With Me

you know the place we used to be
there was a time that i got used to being in
i stepped out one day and found
that i could only look back in
say i may see you some times now
but i just don't know where to begin
so i can see you as a friend

just as far as we could go i think we've been
but your ceilings just a door that i used to
get to where i am
woke up one morning and found that the
feeling had left your hands
i say i may be with you sometimes now but
i just don't understand
cause i don't see you as a friend

and i had used myself to create who we were
i thought we used ourselves to create who we were
i see you know and i see that i don't know who you are
i see you know and i see that we aren't any more
but i still carry you around with me

i sat over the ocean in the foam
feeling out of what i'd thought of as a home
i came back one night and found that with you
i still felt alone
i thought i needed you once but i
didn't see where you had gone
you were already gone

i watched the ocean from a stone
emptied out my mind so i could learn some way to grow
i wanted to feel wiser but i just ended feeling cold
but the ocean sang that we are none of us
ourselves alone
none of us are ourselves alone

and i had used myself to create who we were
i thought we used ourselves to create who we were
i see you know and i see that i don't know who you are
i see you know and i see that we aren't any more
but i still carry you around with me

just as far as we could go i think we've been
but your ceilings just a door that i used to
get to where i am
woke up one morning and found that the
feeling had left your hands
i say i may be with you sometimes now but
i just don't understand
cause i don't see you as a friend
but i still carry you around with me
i still carry you around with me
